For the second time, the Republic’s most distinguished ‘mountain-conquering’ orchestra is set to delight audiences as part of the Gezeitenkonzerte series: This time, the baton is taken up by Aurel Dawidiuk, who is regarded as one of the most outstanding talents of his
generation as
a conductor, pianist and organist in equal measure. The Federal Youth Orchestra itself brings together the cream of Germany’s young talent: The musicians are aged between 14 and 19 and have secured their places through demanding auditions. Even world-famous stars want to work with this ensemble
– from Karajan and Masur to Tetzlaff and Say, right through to Sting and Peter Maffay.
